Happy Birthday, Erin!
This is a gift for my little sister who turns 23 tomorrow. Love you, Erin!
I spent the morning hanging out in my studio with Julia Morelli, the deputy director of Nevin Kelly Gallery. She wrote about our visit here. Thank you, Julia!

Hi Everyone! Today I worked on my paintings for the upcoming show, and it's possible that I'll do the same tomorrow. If I do, I'll be sure to post one of the show paintings for you to see. Thanks for sticking with me!

"Keep Track"

watercolor

I thought I'd post another finished piece I made for the "Women's Work" show in March. I just finished it over the weekend. You can see how well the daily paintings are serving as studies for my larger gallery pieces. I hope you enjoy it!
I'm planning to post my daily painting in the morning, around 9am, and if I'm lucky, I'll post another in the afternoon.
I bought the brand new Lucinda Williams album today and have been listening to it all day. So good. Just what I needed.

This painting is part of the series I'm working on for an upcoming show called "Women's Work" at Nevin Kelly Gallery. The opening is March 15th, 6-9pm, and everyone is welcome to come! I'll be showing along with four extremely talented women. The gallery has a website and blog, and Julia, the gallery's lovely deputy director, writes about art on her own blog. I'm so grateful to Nevin and Julia for giving me my first big break in the art world.
I decided that I needed to take today and work on my pieces for the show. It's been tough trying to squeeze those in between dinner and bedtime every night. I can't believe it, but I'll be posting my 50th daily painting on Monday! Thank you so much for continuing to check in with me. And keep those emails coming-- I love hearing from you.
Just for fun...a photo of my workspace...
